Allen Lawrence is a resilient and visionary leader whose life’s work is rooted in restoration, healing, and generational transformation. As the driving force behind Amends Inc., Allen brings not only decades of professional leadership across education, corporate training, and financial services—but a deeply personal journey that fuels his mission to rebuild lives, families, and communities. 

Allen’s story began in adversity. Growing up without the consistent presence of his father, who struggled with alcoholism and work-life imbalance, Allen was shaped early by responsibility and resilience. As a young boy, he became a protector for his mother, who endured profound trauma, including sexual violence and ongoing physical and emotional abuse. These early life experiences forged in him a deep sense of empathy, strength, and an unwavering commitment to breaking cycles of pain.

By the age of seven, Allen had already begun studying the Word of God, delivering his first sermon, “If You’ve Got the Faith, God’s Got the Power!”—a message that would become a lifelong foundation for his faith, leadership, and service. From the age of eighteen, he committed himself to mentoring others facing life’s hardships, offering guidance, tutoring, and support to individuals navigating personal and systemic challenges.

As a single father of four children, Allen’s leadership was not only professional—it was lived daily in the home. While raising his family, he simultaneously battled depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other emotional struggles, gaining firsthand insight into the complexities of mental and emotional health. Rather than allowing these challenges to define him, Allen transformed them into purpose—developing a voice and vision centered on healing, accountability, and restoration.

Professionally, Allen has demonstrated exceptional leadership across multiple sectors, including public education, where he served for over a decade, and within major organizations such as The Home Depot, Bank of America, and HSBC. In every space, he has led with integrity, developed people, and created environments that prioritize growth, trust, and transformation.

Now pursuing a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Montreat College in Montreat, North Carolina, Allen is deepening his commitment to equipping individuals and families with the tools to heal and thrive. His work integrates faith, lived experience, and evidence-based practices to address the root causes of trauma and disconnection.

Through Amends Inc., Allen Lawrence is building more than a program—he is cultivating a movement. A movement dedicated to restoring identity, strengthening families, and empowering individuals to confront their past, reclaim their future, and live whole. His life stands as a testament that healing is possible, cycles can be broken, and transformation can begin with one committed voice.
